Mode-insensitive Multimode Fiber Coupler (Optical Splitter)

Fiber fusion technology has proved to be simple, versatile and effective, allowing the industrial implementation of several kinds of branching devices for a variety of applications. Lfiber has excellent fused biconic taper (FBT) technical solution in the heat treatment of fiber. With the FBT method, bare or etched fibers are brought into contact, stretched, sometimes twisted, and fused so that evanescent mode coupling occurs along the interaction length. We have reduced the effects of modes in the fiber cladding, for example, by using an etched fiber. Lfiber’s multimode fiber coupler (optical splitter) is mode-insensitive, it performs uniform performance across an ultra wideband wavelength range and features high reliability and stability.
